How was Campesato founded?
Every window tells a story: not only the story of the home it brings light into, but also that of the hands that designed and crafted it. Over 100 years of experience, four generations, and a journey shaped by passion, entrepreneurial vision and continuous evolution.
The story of Campesato begins in 1920, when Carlo Campesato, a skilled carpenter and master of wood, founded his first artisan workshop dedicated to woodworking. Here, he produced furniture, doors and windows, laying the foundations for what would become a leading company in the window and door sector, driven by his intuition and dedication.
From craftsmanship to specialization
In the 1940s, Guido Campesato took over the company, guiding its evolution towards the production of wooden windows, internal doors and furnishings, further defining its identity within the window and door industry.
In 1960, a key strategic decision marked a turning point: the company chose to specialise exclusively in the production of wooden windows and internal doors, leaving the furniture sector. This allowed a full focus on research, expertise and manufacturing within a single field, strengthening product quality even further.
Innovation and modernisation
In the 1980s, with the arrival of the next generation, Giancarlo and Valter Campesato, respectively CEO and Sales Director, the company was reorganised and took on its current structure under the name Campesato Guido & C. Snc. This marked the beginning of a new growth phase, focused on market development and innovation.
As the company evolved, its artisan heritage was complemented by investments in advanced manufacturing technologies and design. In the 1990s, the first wooden window range, Mondial 90, was launched, marking an important step in the company’s industrial development. Production moved to a modern facility in Campodoro, in the province of Padua, now the company’s headquarters, where the entire production process is managed in-house.
By the end of the 1990s, Campesato expanded into international markets, opening its first showroom in Greece, followed by the United Kingdom, Canada, Israel, Russia and the United States.
In the early 2000s, the company launched the Mondial 2000 collection, introducing wood-aluminium window systems and expanding its product range. During the same period, Campesato presented its first 3D configurator—an innovative tool that enables faster order management, immediate quotations, and allows customers to visualise their windows even before seeing them in person. This marked a significant step towards digitalisation and greater product customisation.
In 2017, five new collections were introduced, featuring more minimal profiles and enhanced technical performance, meeting the demands of a market increasingly focused on design, energy efficiency and functionality.
Material quality and sustainability
One of the company’s core values is the use of carefully selected materials sourced from responsible supply chains. Campesato primarily uses three types of laminated wood: Oak, Pine and Red Grandis. All materials come from certified forests managed according to sustainable forestry practices, ensuring environmentally responsible production.
Thanks to its commitment to quality and sustainability, Campesato has achieved several important certifications:
- In 2019, the company obtained RC3 resistance class certification for wooden windows, confirming a high level of burglar resistance in accordance with European standards UNI EN 1627–1630. It was also the first company in Italy to achieve this certification on a wood species other than oak, namely Red Grandis.
- In 2023, it achieved Air-Water-Wind certification for windows (UNI EN 12207, 12208, 12210), measuring resistance to air leakage, water infiltration and wind pressure, reaching hurricane-resistant class performance.
- In 2024, the company obtained FSC and PEFC certification, ensuring that all windows are made from responsibly sourced timber, combining design, value and sustainability.
- In 2025, safety standards were further enhanced with an advanced RC3 configuration, featuring reinforced components and bullet-resistant glass.
Today, Campesato has reached its fourth generation, with Valentina, Marketing Manager, and Alessandro, Head of Production, carrying the tradition forward with a modern vision focused on innovation and attention to detail.
The common thread running through the company’s history is the balance between tradition and modernisation: from a small artisan workshop to a company capable of looking to the future without ever forgetting its roots.
A journey spanning more than a century, continuing every day… window after window.
